⁷ O Yahweh, O Lord, ^(A)the strength of my salvation,
You have ^(B)covered my head in the day of ^[a]battle.
⁸ Do not grant, O Yahweh, the ^(C)desires of the wicked;
Do not promote ^(D)his evil ^[b]scheme, that they not be exalted. Selah.

⁹ “As for the head of those who surround me,
May the ^(E)trouble from their lips cover them.
